SURGICAL WARD NURSE

About the job

  • As a Registered Nurse working on the wards you'll be supporting low acuity patients with an average stay of 2 nights.
  • You'll provide a high level of clinical care and service to clients
  • On offer is 0.8 FTE (or less) with the ability to flex up and down
  • You'll work rostered and rotating shifts mainly Monday to Friday. On average you'll work one weekend per month.
  • Shifts are 8 hours long starting at 6.45am, 2.45pm and 10.45pm. Currently you'd be expected to work 2 nights every 4 weeks. As new theatres are opened and new staff come on board we expect this to push out to 2 nights every 6-7 weeks.

About you

  • Registered Nurse with a current APC.
  • Strong customer focus, committed to improvement initiatives and your own professional development.
  • We will consider nurses with offshore experience and recently completed CAP.
  • Ideally you will have surgical ward experience but we are open to talking if you are keen to transition to this environment.
  • Professional and eager to earn.
  • Curious and interested
  • An excellent communicator with brilliant listening skills
  • Calm and confident, accountable and resilient
  • A team player who interacts well with others
