ABOUT THE ROLE
This newly created role is the perfect complement of an experience Senior Nurse who is passionate to lead, develop and deliver excellence within a surgical environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of Nursing care plays a pivotal role. You will be responsible for the delivery of clinical standards and excellence within the Surgical environment. An advanced clinical knowledge of this Nursing in this area will be essential as you will be looked towards as a key resource for the Nursing team. Working as a Role Model for the team is a key attribute. You will be motivated to share your knowledge and support your team to achieve the highest standards in clinical care. Through mentoring and monitoring the activities of the team you will understand how you can best support them.
Professional Development is important for both yourself and your team. In this role you will liaise directly with the higher education team to curate the best programs for your people. Along with supervision component you will see the positive results of these iniatives. Finally Quality and Risk forms a critical component for you to develop, review and deliver best clinical practice. Through audits and analysis of key reports you will be able to streamline and improve care and processes for the Hospital meetings with the goals of the Senior Leadership team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 5 Years experience within a Surgical environment
- Preference would be PACU - HDU - ICU experience
- Post Grad Certification (Essential)
- PDRP Proficient level (Desirable)
- Current APC (Essential)
