The existing team of Consultants Radiologists and Registrars has well established links into of all the specialty and subspecialty clinical teams across the Hospital
The Department also provides imaging support for a level 1 Major Trauma Centre
The Radiology Department comprises of:
- Conventional X-ray units plus mobile units
- Fluoroscopy unit
- CT Scanners
- Vascular and interventional units
- Ultrasound rooms
- Gamma cameras
- The service also provides MRI service with the private provider
- Also has a Radiologist for Breast Care service
Qualification and experience
- Registration or eligibility with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Specialist
- Qualified to practice as a Specialist Radiologist
