Are you a motivated Sheetmetal Tradesperson with an unwavering work ethic, positive attitude, and a passion for delivering high-end craftsmanship within a fast-paced workshop?

Established Auckland Engineering Sheetmetal companies specialising in high quality fabricated work, are looking for strong, technically skilled Sheetmetal Workers, with proven hands-on experience, where the day-to-day work is ever changing and varied.

Note – this job would also suit a light gauge Welder Fabricator.

Skill based requirements we are looking for:

  • Technically strong, highly experienced in sheetmetal fabrication
  • Competent in MIG / TIG Light gauge sheetmetal welding
  • Welding 1mm-3mm Stainless / Mild Steel & Aluminium
  • Reading / Fabricating / Welding from Engineering drawings
  • Can use a variety of power tools / machinery (Press Brake, Guillotine, Plasma Cutter, Turret Punch etc.)

General requirements we are looking for are:

  • Trade Qualified or equivalent knowledge & skills
  • At least 3-5 years hands on experience
  • Proven experience & expertise in press brake operation
  • Willing to assist in other areas of production/assembly if required.
  • Work from drawings & able to handle a range of machinery.
  • Ability to share your knowledge & skills & mentor apprentices.
  • Attention to detail, with a strong work ethic.
  • Working to a very high standard
  • Excellent time keeping & attendance.
  • Follow spoken / written instructions accurately.
  • Good Numeracy, verbal & written English skills.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, positive with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Medically / physically fit.
  • Demonstrate & maintain good Health & Safety
  • Full clean NZ Driver’s license

Wage         Competitive skills-based $/h rate neg

Misc          Overtime (when available)

Type          Full time permanent positions

Hours        Mon – Fri min 40-45 hours weekly

Parking     Onsite parking

Based       Auckland wide
