The Hospital now boasts 5 operating Theatres with a 6th to be added in the not too distant future. They offer a wide variety of services from ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics and reconstructive, Urology, Opthamology to name but a few. Nurses are the cornerstone of the Hospital and the value they bring does not go unnoticed. An Registered Nurse here you can gain further development in partnership with one of the most well known private facilities in Auckland.

The role | Perioperative Services Manager

They are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Registered Nurse to oversee tgeir Operating Theatres, PACU and CSSD departments. This newly developed role is a key leadership position within the hospital, responsible for ensuring high-quality surgical services are provided to their patients, treating their Medical Specialists as key customers, and ensuring their theatre suite is managed in a business-like manner.This is a frontline, operational leadership role and will provide flexible leadership and support including inside the working theatre environment. As such, the Perioperative Services Manager will be required to provide cover for arange of operational functions including on occasion coordinating and resource nursing.It is an exciting time to join a growing, dynamic organisation that has a progressive and supportive Management team.

What they are looking for | Is this you?

  • Previous experience in a senior role within the perioperative setting
  • Experience working in Theatre as either a Senior Scrub Nurse or coordinator
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a team, whilst providing strong direction and positive leadership.
  • A positive can do attitude with a quality focus and commitment to delivering best practice patient care and
  • exceptional service to Medical Specialists.
  • Exceptional relationship and communication management skills and the ability to lead change whilst motivating your team to great levels of success.
  • The ability to include Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices in the clinical setting a head for business and finances to ensure that service delivery is efficient and cost effective.
