You will work collaboratively with a team of passionate experts in the field to improve the impact of building and construction on the environment by finding solutions to mitigate negative effects.
You will:
- Conduct research related to sustainability and low carbon aspects of the built environment
- Develop and maintain networks with stakeholders and design projects, establish teams and create work plans to address stakeholder needs
- Lead collaborative projects in consultation with stakeholders
- Proactively manage projects according to agreed milestones, timelines and budgets
- Communicate findings, insights and messages from research to a wide variety of audiences
- Generate high quality research publications and proposals
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Relevant post-graduate tertiary qualification in building science and/or sustainability/climate science (Masters or PhD)
- A strong research background on sustainability in the built environment where you are acknowledged as an expert (or growing recognition as an expert)
- Working knowledge of the life cycle assessment of buildings, and a good knowledge of embodied carbon data and calculation
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
