The Role
The Senior Project Accountant reports into the Finance Manager and sits alongside a team of likeminded professionals. The roles’ objective is to provide data influenced advice around various aspects of internal process improvements, service enhancements and changes taking place across the organisation.
This role is ideal for an exceptionally detail orientated accountant who loves building and utilising financial models to create transparent and valuable insights that will influence decision making processes.
You will be expected to do the following:
- Construct and use various financial models via MS Excel
- Provide data supported insights and advice for decision making purposes
- Assist with composing business cases for various projects taking place across the agency
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders of various levels across BAU and project environment
- participate in budgeting and forecasting exercises to support your case studies
About You
I’m on the lookout for anyone who has demonstrated experience as a Management or Project Accountant in a medium to large sized public or private sector business who has a strong understanding on the value of financial modelling.
To be successful in this role you must be able to build and utilise financial models via MS Excel that will create a value-added proposition for your involved decision makers.
Ideally, you will have the following skill set:
- CA or CPA certification
- Over 5 years of current management or project accounting experience
- Excellent financial modelling capabilities
- The ability to develop insights that will add value to your analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A personable and friendly approach that instils trust
