The Role
This role is crucial for maintaining security, governance, and high availability. You will advance the DevOps maturity using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and focus on databases (PostgreSQL) and security practices. This role involves working within a cross-functional team, managing projects end-to-end, and communicating roadmaps clearly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, manage, and optimise highly available AWS production environments, including EC2, Fargate, VPC, and S3.
- Drive automation and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools like AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Lead PostgreSQL administration, tuning, and support for geospatial extensions (PostGIS).
- Manage security best practices, AWS IAM, network isolation, and Microsoft Entra ID integration.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines with Python automation.
- Implement cross-region disaster recovery and manage AWS cost optimisation.
