As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll lead the design and implementation of land development projects, working closely with engineers, surveyors, planners, and external consultants. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions while mentoring junior staff and contributing to project success from concept to completion.
- Lead civil engineering design and quality assurance
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, plans, and tender documentation
- Supervise and administer contracts, including sub-contractor oversight
- Oversee stormwater design and review
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Attend and facilitate progress meetings with contractors and clients
- Review and advise on progress claims, variations, and EOTs
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in land development and subdivision design
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., BEng or BSurv)
- CPEng or RPSurv beneficial but not essential
- Proficiency in 12D and AutoCAD preferred
- Strong understanding of NZS 3910:2023
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand (Our Licensed Immigration Advsers at NZIC will talk to you about this requirement)
