About the organisation
This employer is a 60-bed Christchurch-based facility providing specialist residential and respite support to people aged 16 to 65 with physical or neurological impairments. The facility has an onsite gym and rehabilitation and therapy team, who will, alongside you, support residents. Based on beautiful and spacious park-like grounds and award-winning gardens, it offers an uplifting work environment and a new and engaged leadership team.
About the Job
- A unique and inspiring "My Life" model of care enables nurses to focus on each client's ability and lifestyle priorities, thereby supporting each resident to achieve a quality lifestyle through creating choices and participation in a holistic environment.
- This includes overseeing hospital-level clinical care, completing assessments, doing medication rounds, and delegating to Support Workers.
About you
- A Registered or Enrolled Nurse with the current registration and APC
- Strong organisational and excellent communication skills
- Experienced working within a multi-disciplinary team and effectively in a team environment
- Previous clinical knowledge and practice within the disability or rehabilitative services is preferred but not necessary
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to engage with a wide range of people from all different backgrounds. onsite gyms
