Our client is a Christchurch based construction company working across the industry with specialist services in the earthquake, fire, wind and flood remediation space. Having recently expanded into the North Island they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is a great opportunity to work with a leading construction company where your focus will be in the Residential and Insurance area.
To be successful in this role you must be/have:
- Sound construction knowledge
- A proven ability to build rapport with clients, confident in ensuring the delivery of excellent service
- Highly organised, motivated and someone who thrives on working as part of a dynamic team
- Good analytics, reporting, forecasting skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
Your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Cost management
- Managing construction procurement
- Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents
- Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
