An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Psychotherapist in Dunedin, New Zealand. The position is full time, but would consider a minimum of 0.8 FTE.

They cater for both privately and publicly funded patients, and their treatment model makes a significant and unique contribution to the overall mental health services in New Zealand. Their patients are adults who usually present with mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, addictions, and complex responses to trauma.
About You:
You'll have psychotherapeutic responsibility for the assessment and treatment of a caseload of inpatients, and will provide input into the multidisciplinary clinical team and the wider Ashburn community. You will have experience and skills in providing individual psychotherapy within a psychodynamic orientation, and in working within a multidisciplinary team. You would ideally have some experience working in a group psychotherapy and/or therapeutic community setting, or have a strong interest in developing such skills.
They also offer educational opportunities where staff provide guidance for trainee psychotherapists in the theoretical aspects of psychotherapy and the apprenticeship model. There are also opportunities for teaching nursing students, medical students, and students from other allied health disciplines.
Must Haves:
You must have a formal qualification in psychotherapy and you are also required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
