Here's what you can expect from the role:
*Be accountable for technology outcomes of your delegated product areas.
*Maintain and execute a technology roadmap for your delegated product areas.
*The health of the technology systems will be under your remit, including being secure, performant, reliable, maintainable, supportable, observable, consistent, comprehensible, idiomatic, and proven, in line with our engineering best practices.
*Convincingly evangelise principled engineering techniques to deliver high-value products.
*Encourage engineering excellence of the people you work with.
*Help the technical leadership team to draft the 3-5 year engineers strategy.
*Contribute to the technical growth and coaching of other engineers in the team.
Here's what you will bring to the role:
*More than 12 years of experience in software development. With minimum of 5 years experience in cloud, and software architecture
*Commercially savvy, able to justify engineering projects in financial terms and business case technology projects with ROI projections
*Highly skilled in technical product management, understanding value assessment, prioritisation, and how to bring teams along on the journey with you
*An expert of commercial software product development, having had deep experience with a wide variety of technologies, architectures and platforms with a wide variety of people
*A great mentor and coach able to build fantastic relationships with everyone, helping grow our company at every opportunity
*Strategic in your thinking, looking three years ahead to understand and convincingly justify what we need to be doing today
