About the job
- You will provide pre assessment care, assessing the needs of the patient, planning, implementing and evaluating pathways of care to facilitate a safe surgical journey for your patients.
- This will include running 2 clinics a week.
- You will liaise and be a conduit between the patient and their GP and relevant MDT members
- You will identify patient care requirements, complete history taking, provide healthcare advice, education on medications, self-care and health maintenance as well as ensuring a smooth transition home after surgery.
- This is a developing role within the organisation so a great opportunity to make it your own and develop responsibilities further
- Monday to Friday.
About you
- Registered Nurse with a current APC.
- Strong customer focus, committed to improvement initiatives and your own professional development.
- Surgical knowledge and experience from within a perioperative setting is ideal, in particular Post anaesthetic care (PACU)
- You will have good general assessment skills, medication knowledge and strong critical thinking skills. You will be advanced in your critical thinking because this role is all about managing risk
- You are curious and interested with an inquisitive mind. You love getting to the bottom of things!

- Professional and eager to earn, an excellent communicator and well organised
