We're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated, Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Wellington working part-time.
About the role
Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.
Community Rehabilitation Services
- Provide rehabilitation and support to individuals within their community
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to help clients achieve their rehab goals
- Knowledge of community services pathways
Concussion Service
- Skilled in assessing and treating concussion and mild to moderate traumatic brain injury
- Experience in assessing and treating cervical spine, vestibular, oculomotor systems
- Collaborative approach with GPs, specialists and the wider multi-disciplinary team
Training For Independence (TI)
- Able to deliver individual community rehabilitation programmes focussed on independence and function
- Skilled in delivering home and community-based functional rehabilitation
- Ability to co-ordinate and collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team
Social Rehabilitation Needs Assessment (SRNA)
- Skilled in functional needs assessments and service recommendations to support independence
- Strong understanding of ACC service entitlements and linking clients to appropriate supports
- Experience writing high-quality reports and justifying clinical reasoning
- Private paediatric services

- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and stakeholders
- At least 2 years’ experience working in paediatrics
- Delivering ACC contracts and private work – knowledge and/or experience desired
