The Role
- Security Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration and proactive maintenance of a multi-vendor firewall estate, with a heavy emphasis on Palo Alto and Fortinet technologies.
- Infrastructure Hygiene: Manage regular firmware updates, policy reviews, and configuration audits to ensure the network remains hardened against emerging threats.
- Email Platform Security: Manage and optimize enterprise mail security platforms, specifically utilizing Proofpoint to protect against advanced email-borne threats.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Provide high-level support for complex Layer 2–7 issues, ensuring maximum uptime and performance for a vast user base.
- Service Continuity: Maintain robust VPN tunnels, high-availability (HA) setups, and secure WAN/LAN integrations.
About You
- Certification: You must hold a CCNA, JNCIA, or an equivalent higher-level networking certification.
- Firewall Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience in the configuration and management of enterprise-grade firewalls. Palo Alto experience is highly preferred.
- Email Security Gateway: Experience with mail protection platforms is a significant advantage, particularly with Proofpoint.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong diagnostic skills for resolving complex routing, switching, and security policy conflicts.
