NC Machinist

If you’re an experienced NC Machinist looking for a great opportunity, this could be your chance to join our friendly team based in Hamilton.

Working a guaranteed 40 hour week from Monday to Friday this permanent full-time role based in Hamilton comes with the opportunity of overtime hours paid at time and half; while not guaranteed are generally available and can be worked during the week or at times on Saturday mornings. The pay range and an estimation of earnings based on 5 hours overtime at time and half are as follows:

Hourly Range: $28 to $40

Estimated Gross Earnings (incl. 5 hours overtime per week - not guaranteed):

$69,160.00 to $98,800.00

The successful applicant will:

  • Either be trade qualified in NC machining or have 5 years’ experience in a machine job shop environment
  • Be able to work to a high standard and have a keen eye for detail
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Have a problem-solving mind-set
  • Enjoy being part of a team.
  • Occasionally required to do fitting and machining tasks
  • Design and make jigs and fixtures when appropriate to improve efficiency.

About the Role

  • Operating workshop machinery equipment: lathes (conventional and CNC), milling machines (conventional and CNC), drills, metal, and plastic cutting saws
  • Working from drawings to achieve a high standard of workmanship
