Medical Imaging Technologist/BSA Mammographer

This employer is a busy multi-modality private practice with multiple clinics across the beautiful and booming Bay of Plenty region, some of which include Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa, Katikati and Whakatane.


Their aim is to image thier clients and their family in a caring professional environment and provide fast, accurate and comprehensive diagnostic information to the clinicians looking after their clients. They have exciting opportunities for Medical Imaging Technologists (General / Mammography) to join their team based in Whakatane.

About the Role
This is a permanent position which could be full or part-time for the right candidate.  The role will include:

  • A mix of general radiography and mammography/breast screening
  • A standard rostered eight hour shift usually between Monday to Friday 8am-5:00pm

About You

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Applicants must be a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist, registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and hold a current practicing certificate.
  • Ideally you will hold a post graduate certificate in mammography, in order to participate in the Breastscreen Aotearoa (BSA) programme.
  • Able to work both within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including their patients and their family/whanau as well as other health care professionals and providers.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Flexible team player and highly self-motivated.
  • An understanding of the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality.
