Whilst this is a technical engineering role specialising in electrical, given the recent weather events, this role requires someone with flexibility to muck in to assist the wider team as they work towards business as usual.

A bit about the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our client's Hawkes Bay operation, overseeing a key division, and providing support to the wider electrical leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical electrical engineering support on systems and equipment including the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a range of industrial electrical equipment.



Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role requires a focus on leading the Automation and Controls Engineering Team, investigating and diagnosing technical engineering issues and planning repairs, as well as a focus on reviewing and implementing the electrical equipment strategy (HV network) and site electrical specifications.

A bit about you‍

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Ideally 10 years experience in electrical design, electrical distribution (high voltage) and maintenance in a manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of electrical process switching instruction design and ability to read drawings
• Strong Standards and problem-solving skills (HV, MV and LV) and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
