About this role:
This organisation is looking for a Maintenance Technician to service and maintain high-speed sorting machines at the key site, ensuring availability meets operational needs and drives continuous performance improvements.
In this role you will:
- Complete scheduled and reactive maintenance on high-speed automated sorting equipment to meet operational targets
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely, cost-effective manner
- Manage spare-parts inventory, including ordering, receipting and stock-takes to maintain agreed levels
- Liaise with the Regional Technical Manager on significant faults to ensure swift resolution
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance machine performance and reliability
About you:
- EWRB registration as a Service Technician or EST A/B qualifications (or a formal mechanical qualification)
- At least three years’ diagnostic and fault-finding experience on live industrial production machinery
- A basic level of mechanical and electrical aptitude, including the ability to read control, electrical and mechanical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal English communication skills
Desirable skills include: pneumatic and hydraulic experience, reliability-centered maintenance, and familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo) or SCADA systems.
