Maintenance Fitter

The role:‍

• Providing reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance and service to all all plant and machinery
• Performing safety checks and inspections
• Troubleshooting and providing hands on solutions for repairs and modifications
• Liasing with Shift Managers and external contractors around  planned maintenance
• Maintenance and repair of workshop equipment, machinery and components
• Maintenance of systems including Mechanical, Steam and pneumatics
• Solid understanding of Facilities Maintenance including boilers and compressors
• Installations and removal of plant and machinery
• Fitting, assembly and commissioning of mechancial components
• Fault finding, diagnosis and problem solving

Applicants should have:‍

• Trade Certification or similar in Mechanical Fitting
• A strong respect and adherance to Safety
• Fault Finding and Diagnostic skills and experience
• Previous experience with Packaging Equipment and weigh head
• The ability to interpret technical drawings
• A Continual Improvement Mindset
• Previous experience within the Food Manufacturing or FMCG a bonus
• Forklift License - preferred.
