Here's a bit about what you can expect from this role:
* Work closely with the Engineering Manager & other leads to improve the overall classifieds experience.
* Work closely with development managers to support and mentor engineers in their career progression journey and foster a happy and high-performing development community.
* Work with Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer to implement mid to long-term engineering practices across teams.
* Facilitate complex technical and architectural designs in teams
* Work with product managers during discovery phase to help with feasibility, capacity, and risk management of classifieds roadmap
* Advocate for continuous delivery and observability practices across teams
* Embed within product development teams to articulate, develop, test, and release complex solutions.
* Review incidents and post-mortems, recommend, and implement improvements accordingly.
What you will bring to the team:
* Experience with modern software architecture patterns and best practices.
* Strong software development skills in languages similar/transferable to those used (primarily C# / TypeScript)
* Experience in all aspects of a continuous delivery (architecture, culture, and patterns)
* Practical understanding of common software quality principles such as SOLID, Law of Demeter, DRY etc
* Practical working knowledge of technologies and practices key to their technical strategy
* Excellent communication, mentoring skills and experience supporting developers in their technical career growth.
* Experience in similar roles with progressive increases in responsibility.
