About the Role
They have an awesome opportunity for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join the team, based in Tauranga.
This is a newly created permanent position as they work towards adding Diagnostic Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans to their comprehensive services provided
They are seeking someone who is excited by the challenge and possibilities available in shaping this new role and helping to establish and lead their new PET service. You will be an integral and critical part of making this happen!
About You
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Applicants must be a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist
- Competence in conducting a full range of both routine and complex procedures and quality assurance in PETCT.
- Ability to perform IV cannulation.
- Working knowledge of the practical and legislative requirements of a Nuclear Medicine and PETCT practice.
- Capable of exercising mature and professional judgement in respect of performance, service provision and allocation of duties.
- Able to work positively and collaboratively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including their patients and their family/whanau as well as other health care professionals and providers.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Flexible team player and highly self-motivated.
- An understanding of the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality.
