Main responsibilities:
In this role you will be a major contributor to the new product design and development, product standardisation and repeatability of a world class product. Working at the cutting edge of this technology, you will be involved in continuous improvement of the health of the product and ongoing research into value-add for the organisation and its customers.
Your key tasks will be:
- Hydraulic engineering design (system design, component selection, schematics, calculation, integration, development).
- Provision of hydraulic support and troubleshooting to Cavotec sales and engineering staff.
- Creation of schematics in a 2D drafting package.
- Supporting the Mechanical Team with guidance for 3D mechanical design and drafting for complete hydraulics systems.
- Leading the delivery of documentation for assembly, installation and testing of the hydraulic systems.
- Use published internal standards, enhance these standards.
Due to our global nature, at times Cavotec MoorMaster will have conference calls outside of normal business hours, these are planned in advance & need to be attended.
Expected experience:
- Expert level in creating hydraulic schematics using 2D drafting software
- Expert level in hydraulic circuit design
- Experienced in selection of hydraulic system components
- Experienced in creation and review of specifications for hydraulic systems
- 3D CAD skills would be beneficial
- PLC and Automation experience would be beneficial but not essential
Ideally you will have an Engineering degree or equivalent background and senior level experience in product development gained within a global, multicultural environment. You will have excellent communication skills, be a good team player and have the desire to be the best you can.
