About the role
They are seeking a pleasant, well-organized, and experienced person to carry out the mechanical servicing and maintenance of their fleet of machinery. The ideal candidate will need to be a team player with a passion for their products and industry. They will need to be very perceptive and disciplined seeing things through to completion.
The role of Hire Fleet Mechanic is varied, but done responsibly and correctly it is pivotal in meeting the high standards they have set for theirselves in order to maintain their customer service excellence.
Position Objective
To keep the fleet always serviced and maintained thus ensuring maximum reliability and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Carry out relevant maintenance checks and reporting on active hire fleet
- Report and document any damages or faults with off hired equipment
- Carry out repairs and general maintenance on earth moving equipment and attachments.
- Carry out servicing on machines and attachments as required.
- Other mechanical and related tasks as required including responding to breakdowns
Personal attributes & experience required
- Physically fit and able
- Time bound and task driven
- Organized and willing to meet deadlines
- A team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high standard of workmanship
- Ability to trouble shoot and initiate solutions quickly
- Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge specifically with earth moving equipment.
- Intermediate to advanced auto electrical knowledge
- Welding, fitting and turning experience
- Flexible work hours.
- Previous experience working in a rental business (desirable)
