The Head of Pacific Commissioning leads a national team that is focused on the delivery of nationally consistent Pacific-specific models of care that enhance family health outcomes, support equity for Pacific, and enable the growth of the Pacific provider ecosystem. The Head of Pacific Commissioning will bring senior executive level leadership experience, knowledge and experience of commissioning, expertise on Pacific models of care, and the capability to develop, design and disseminate best practice with Pacific communities. You will work in a highly integrated way with data and intelligence leads to ensure data-informed decision-making and promote continuous learning within the commissioning function. You will champion a strong partnership approach with Pacific providers.
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver data-informed, integrated, and holistic commissioning for Pacific Health. You will provide a sustained focus on addressing key Pacific health priorities under Te Pae Tata – The interim Aotearoa Health Plan and Ola Manuia – The interim Pacific Health Plan. The role will contribute thought leadership and Pacific expertise to the national functions around finance and investment, procurement, probity, and contract administration processes for the commissioning function
