Our networking contact is seeking the perfect candidate for their client, a Premium Waiheke Restaurant
Their client operates a highly regarded restaurant in one of Waiheke Island’s most stunning locations, offering a menu that celebrates the best of land and sea.
The kitchen focuses on sustainably sourced seafood, ethically farmed meats and seasonal local produce, delivering a premium dining experience that reflects the natural beauty and quality ingredients the island is known for.
The Role
Their client is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen and continue building on the restaurant’s strong reputation year-round with a focus on achieve hat recognition.
This role requires a well-balanced chef who enjoys being hands-on in service while also confidently leading a high-performing team.
You will be responsible for maintaining consistently high food standards, managing kitchen operations, and developing a team capable of delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Required
2–5 years’ experience as a Head Chef in a premium or fine dining restaurant in New Zealand
Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop kitchen teams
Passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and quality-driven cuisine
Valid New Zealand working rights (no visa sponsorship available)
What’s on Offer
$110,000 – $130,000 salary (depending on experience)
40–45 hours per week on average (seasonally dependent)
