This employer is a leading distributor of electrical components and solutions both within New Zealand and abroad. They are looking for a dynamic and motivated Graphic Designer to join the Product Development Team. This role plays an active part in new product development and will be responsible for the design, creation and delivery of a range of cross-platform design work.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Design of product packaging, catalogues, print and digital ready marketing and sales collateral.
- Updating templates for product brochures, company profiles, price books and technical product documents
- Preparing documents for print
- Ensure new marketing material meet deadlines for new product releases
- Preparing advertising material
- Designing, ordering co-ordinating product displays for general use and trade shows
- Some designing of artwork for external advertising such as wholesaler marketing magazines
- Managing company websites ensuring they are kept up to date including content management of images, brochures and text
- Preparation of product packaging artwork, working with supplier dyelines
- Coordination of label and packaging material with local and overseas printers
- Create product photography for print and digital use
To be successful in this role you will be/have:
- Hold a relevant design degree/qualification
- Strong comprehension of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as Microsoft Office skills
- Confident working in a PC environment
- Understanding and experience in setting up files for print
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including file management
- Have excellent communication skills in all forms
- Able to deliver to deadlines
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with sensitive commercial or personal information
- Web experience necessary
