About us
Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre is located in the heart of iconic Dunedin city, in scenic Otago. We provide daytime and after-hours medical and accident care for the Dunedin community, including visitors to the city and a large student population. We manage Fractures onsite, have X-ray services and provide Immigration Clinics.
We have a well-established team that takes pride in supporting the health needs of those who use our services. We are co-located with an Urgent Pharmacy and Southern Community Laboratory and operate 365 days a year from 8 am to 10 pm.
About the role
Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre is seeking a GP or Urgent Care Practitioner with the experience, qualifications, and passion to support our clinical team and provide high quality care. This role could be undertaken on a part or full-time basis. Ideally, you will be committed to and enthusiastic about primary and urgent care medicine. A willingness to support clinical leadership is desired but not essential.

About you
You will be an experienced GP or Urgent Care Practitioner who is confident, engaging and flexible with excellent organisation, clinical and communication skills. You are well equipped to work in a busy environment and are passionate about primary and urgent care. You want to be an integral part of a dedicated health care team as we change and evolve. You will have excellent standards of personal integrity and will ensure high standards of care and patient safety are maintained.
While not essential, if you are looking for an opportunity to develop or utilise your leadership skills and support our clinical team, work collegially with our leadership team, implement improvement initiatives, and help us reach our goals, we'd love to hear from you.
You will have the computer literacy skills needed to fulfil the role, excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Qualifications and experience
You must be registered with MCNZ with the right to work in New Zealand. You must have a minimum of 3 years + GP/UC experience. Ideally, you will have experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or an Accident and Emergency setting.
