About the role:
We are seeking Fitters and Fitter/Welders to join our client's high performing maintenance team. You will assist with the repairs and maintenance of trailers in a busy maintenance workshop. There are several positions available with an immediate start and the contracts will run until early Feb. There is the potential for longer term work for the right people.The work will involve:
- General repairs and maintenance work on trailers
- Replacing rollers, bearings, seals and linkages
- Some basic welding
These are day shift roles (7am to 4pm) and extended hours are available if you're keen to boost your hours.
Skills + Experience: As an experienced Fitter/Welder, you will have:
- A relevant Trade Qualification
- At least 2 years work experience in a mechanical role
- Vehicle service experience is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work as part of a team but also unsupervised
- A clean criminal record
