This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor with a passion for family law to join a fun, flexible, positive and busy office in central Wellington with a high-performing team. We offer a stimulating and supportive workplace, with a dedicated team and highly experienced lawyers providing excellent supervision. As well as providing a high level of service to our own clients, we are committed to the promotion of social justice and the development of the laws that affect families in New Zealand.
Being based in Wellington we attend and support Law Society events and committees and volunteer at the busy Wellington Community Law Centre. Our lawyers write for Lawtalk and Lexis Nexis on relationship property. We think it is important to make submissions to government on proposed legislation, and we are frequently asked to present seminars for the NZLS CLE, Legalwise and other organisations.
The ideal candidate will be a lawyer who brings a passion for the field of family law, strong communication and advocacy skills and is able to work professionally whilst also positively contributing to our team. They will be outgoing, resilient, community-minded and interested in broader issues of family law development and social policy.
