About this role:
This organisation is looking for an Environmental / Storm Water Engineer to join its Environmental team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You'll gain a holistic understanding of projects, from conception to completion, encompassing design, permitting, tendering, construction oversight, and administrative aspects.
The role primarily covers stormwater management, encompassing skills in Water Sensitive Urban Design, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, writing Stormwater Management Plans, and preparing Flood Reports. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in other sectors, such as erosion and sediment control, landfilling, water supply, wastewater, or various other areas they specialise in.
Required experience:
- 1-3 years experience in a stormwater-related role
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Bachelor of Engineering
- Basic understanding of stormwater/design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, similar)
- Familiarity with applicable Codes of Practice, NZ Standards, technical publications, and guidelines
- Strong English language skills (both written and verbal)
