MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

 Our core business is to grow, pack, and distribute fresh produce for the domestic and export markets with growing operations based in Northland, Pukekohe, Matamata and Ohakune.  Our Packhouse operations are based at Pukekohe and Rakaia.

This role will be based in Pukekohe.

Due to internal promotion, we know there is an engineer out there who wants to work in a small team, have a  variety of work and be appreciated for the effort and contribution you can make to the wider business.  Is that you?  

We are seeking a maintenance engineer to work in our small but very efficient team, undertaking a variety of work and no two days will be the same.  You will have the opportunity to   work on our packhouse machinery and specialised farming equipment. This includes daily and annual maintenance as well as modifications and repairs, the role requires excellent communication skills, and the successful applicant will be passionate about getting maximum efficiency from all plant.

To be successful in the role, you need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes and skills:

• Be skilled in the use of workshop equipment including basic machining and fabrication.
• Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills.
• An eye for equipment improvement
• Some pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge would be a bonus.
• A positive team attitude and a commitment to quality and H&W initiatives is a must.
• Experience in packing and weighing equipment would be a bonus but not essential.
