Embedded SW Engineer

As Embedded Software Engineer you will be working in a collaborative, open communication and flexible work environment with team members who are a quirky mix of international professionals.

Although preferably Auckland based, there is the option to work remotely within NZ for the right candidate.  


What you will be doing:

  • Software design & development of products from design concept through requirement capture, software architecture & design to delivery.
  • Provide lifecycle support to resolve complaints & engineering support requests as required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Sound experience writing C code in a Linux or Windows environment
  • Beneficial: experience cross-compiling for bare-metal embedded platforms
  • Experience working with 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers
  • Beneficial: device driver development
  • Understanding of embedded systems & hardware, schematics & component datasheets
  • Experience in Python or another scripting language
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Beneficial: Experience in unit & integration testing & with a real-time OS like FreeRTOS
  • Ability to write clearly & concise documents: software risk analysis, requirements, architecture, design, APIs etc.
  • Beneficial: Knowledge of IEC 62304 regulatory requirements
