This employer is a leading New Zealand owned Security and Alarm business based in Christchurch. They are an innovative business, working to provide around-the-clock security services including installation, monitoring, repairs and maintenance.

As a result of their continued growth and success they are looking for an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join their team. Working with a variety of products across a wide range of different environments; no two days are the same!

To be successful in this role you must be/have:

• Highly motivated with excellent communication skills
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with installation of access control, alarm and IP camera products in commercial premises
• Full clean driver’s license    
• Strong technical background within electronic security industry or be able to demonstrate transferable skills
• The ability to set up a complete commercial security system from installation through to programming and testing is essential
• Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
• Work well in a team environment

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Installing and servicing a wide range of alarms/security systems, CCTV systems, intercom systems, access control and integrated systems
• Test and commission security equipment
• Provide preventative maintenance for both alarm and CCTV systems.
• Liaising with key customers on technical and service matters
• Completing paperwork accurately, and on time

You may not have all of the experience in Security systems that we wish for so we would be willing to look at someone from another industry. You may be someone that has worked as a qualified/non-qualified Electrician, have a good understanding of drawings, hold solid practical/hands on skills and a proven ability to diagnose and solve problems from a technical perspective.
