About The Organisation
This national organisation provides gambling harm support services in Aotearoa. This not-for-profit offers free, professional, and confidential counselling to anyone impacted by gambling. Their primary focus is to prevent and reduce gambling harm for all impacted by the negative affects of this addiction.
About the role
This is a chance to work for an organisation that values diversity, cares about the well-being of all its staff and leads a dedicated and passionate team. This role can be in a flexible Auckland location and offers lots of variety, from support services, education and community engagement in the Auckland region. Your experience as an addictions practitioner or mental health counsellor will be beneficial, however we don’t require you to have experience working with gambling harm treatment.
The successful candidate will have:
- A completed qualification in a relevant field such as social work, counselling and/or addiction
- The ability to work cross-culturally and engage with diverse communities
- Effective and respectful communication skills
- A strong work ethic and high standards of record keeping
- Skills to build professional relationships with community organisations
- A full and clean driver’s licence
