We are proud to be partnering with a well respected precision food packaging manufacturer in Hastings who are looking for a permanent full-time Depalletising Operator. As this role is part of a 5 day rotating roster across a 3 week shift pattern, whilst shifts are 12 hours long, there is plenty of down time for your lifestyle.
Responsible for ensuring the continuous manufacture, supply and movement of products from their Hastings site, our ideal candidate will be competent in operating basic machinery, driving a forklift, familiar with warehousing stock, have a great work ethic, and enjoy working for an organisation whose values include safety, teamwork, service and innovation.
It’s all about work ethic, attention to detail and productivity here, so if you have warehousing or high speed food manufacturing experience, are physically fit and a strong communicator, our client is more than happy to train you in other facets of the roles.
Key responsibilities:
- Handling, moving and supplying light steel products using various techniques
- Preparing, loading and dispatching inwards/outwards goods
- Carrying out procedural changeovers and emptying trackwork
- Maintaining a clean and well-organised working area
What we are ideally seeking:
- Experience working in a warehouse or high speed food manufacturing environment.
- OSH 'F' endorsed forklift drivers license
- Operating basic machinery
- Good computer literacy and strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices
- Knowledge of Food Safety Systems
- Reliable, a great work attitude, fit and healthy
In return you can expect a competitive rate between $25 to $28 per hour plus shift allowances with the opportunity for potential overtime when required, an additional 5 days shift leave and an opportunity for advancement for the right person.
