Main responsibilities:
You will deliver high quality and effective controls engineering solutions for our products. You will be working at cutting edge of this technology, be involved in continuous improvement of the health of the product and perform ongoing research into value-add for the organisation and its customers.
Your key tasks will be:
- Translate functional requirements in controls solutions
- Execute the automation system architecture and selection of the automation hardware
- PLC Programming, Network, HMI design and execution
- Implement the software and execute test plans until full compliance is achieved
- Attend planned conference calls with outside of normal business hours
- Provide successful resolution to customer product issues
- Work closely with the product development in the Centers of Excellence to improve products
- Work closely with the project delivery team to achieve best possible outcomes for customers.
- Provide periodically 12hr/7day on-call customer support (shared on a roster with other engineers).
- Occasional travel for Training, FAT, Site Install/Commissioning, SAT
- Transfer your high level of understanding of MoorMaster systems to the project specific requirements.
Expected experience:
- A sound background in Industrial Automation
- Electrical & Controls Engineering, including SCADA/HMI systems, IP Networks, variable frequency drives, mobile control configuration and hydraulic systems
- Electrical Engineering experience would be beneficial
- Intermediate level PLC programming incl. Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, B&R
- State of the art in automation design solution
- Selection of the control equipment and set-up of the customizable parameters
- Proficiency in version control systems and software development processes
- Field bus architecture
- Read/write electrical/hydraulic diagram proficiency
