The Company:
One of the main players in the NZ commercial construction sector has a strong forward workload for the foreseeable future. They have an extensive build portfolio from $5M - $100M and have projects underway all over NZ. They have an enjoyable working culture and ensure staff are rewarded and promoted on performance. Several commercial projects have recently commenced, and they now require an additional QS to support a senior on one of their sites.
The Role:
Reporting to the senior QS and based on site , you will be responsible for subcontractor contracts and pricing, cost estimating, monitoring subcontractors to ensure they are undertaking works in accordance with contractual obligations, analysing costs, variations, and final accounts,
Your background:
You will need to be a degree or diploma qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience on New Zealand projects over $15 in value. Ideally you will have at least 6 months - 2 years experience in a commercial build QS role ideally. You will need to have a positive attitude and be a team player. You have a good eye for detail, can confidently liaise with sub-contractors. You will be working for another main contractor at present and be looking for enhanced career prospects whilst offering solid job security.Salary: $60K - $80K
