The Role
- Hunt for new business opportunities across the North Island
- Proactively generate leads through cold calling, site visits, and networking
- Run consultative sales conversations and turn problems into solutions
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline and consistently convert opportunities
- Plan, forecast, and report on sales performance and activity
- Support the development of sales campaigns and growth initiatives
- Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally
- Partner with internal teams to scope situations and deliver strong customer outcomes
- Manage key relationships while keeping the focus on new business growth
- General admin and CRM upkeep to keep your pipeline clean and moving
About You
- Proven BDM “hunter” experience (you can show you’ve won new accounts)
- Background in painting or a related sector (building, maintenance, construction)
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to pitch and influence
- Excellent organisation, commercial acumen, and pipeline discipline
- Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language
- Strong relationship skills (externally and internally)
- Confident with MS Office (and ideally CRM systems)
