Are you a highly driven, motivated and successful Business Development Manager experienced in the Commercial project sector? Do you have strong commercial relationships with the ability to grow and develop the profile of a great range of products to the construction industry?

About the role

Our Client “Vynco Industries”, are a leading distributor of electrical solutions both within New Zealand and abroad.  They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in a role focussed on developing relationships with the building industry.

A key focus of the role will be ensuring Vynco’s products are widely specified in the commercial project sector.  You will work closely will work with consultants, architects, lighting specialists, electrical contractors and project offices to achieve this.

To be successful in this role you will have /be:

  • An outstanding Sales Consultant with a proven track record in sales success!
  • Strong connections to the construction industry
  • Great networking skills with the ability to build strong relationships in the industry
  • Experience in the electrical industry (desirable) or alternatively have experience in a similar industry where you have gained transferable skills
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to close deals that exceed customer expectations
  • A proven track record of meeting sales targets
  • A strategic thinker
  • Highly organised, motivated and someone who prides themselves on attention to detail and accuracy

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating sales opportunities across the product portfolio
  • Driving sales growth and market share of the range
  • Executing company sales strategies effectively
  • Ensuring new opportunities and markets are established  
  • Establishing marketing and business strategies and ensuring delivery of these plans
  • Developing new business opportunities using a range of sales techniques
  • Proactively managing your accounts through exceptional customer service

Key to your success in this role will be your strong commercial acumen, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with existing key account customers as well as the ability to cultivate new business opportunities.
