ABOUT THE ROLE

‍
We are seeking a Chief Science Officer to lead our R&D strategy and execution.

You will direct lead optimisation, preclinical development, CMC, regulatory science, and partnerships.

You will work closely with our CEO and external partners to take our lead antiviral toward the clinic and
to grow a pipeline from our Platform.

‍
Your responsibilities will include:

‍
 Setting scientific strategy and target product profiles for lead and followon antivirals.

‍
 Leading preclinical plans, including invivo study design, GLPaligned packages, and
biomarker strategy.

‍
 Owning CMC strategy and tech transfer, including process development oversight and
CDMO engagement.

‍
 Guiding regulatory strategy for Australia’s CTN pathway and United States PreIND
interactions; reviewing all scientific sections of submissions.

‍
 Building and mentoring a highperforming team; recruiting biology, CMC, quality, and
data.

‍
 Presenting to ethics bodies, regulators, advisors, partners, and investors; serving as
scientific spokesperson.

‍
 Driving scientific rigor, documentation quality, and decisionmaking grounded in data.

‍
 Contributing to IP strategy and publications that support the company’s value.

‍
YOU MUST

‍
 Have a PhD, MD, DVM, or equivalent experience in virology, immunology, biochemistry,
pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.

‍
 Have leadership experience taking a biologic or antiviral from discovery into the clinic.

‍
 Be fluent and articulate in written and spoken English.

‍
 Be adept at integrating discovery, preclinical, CMC, quality, and regulatory workstreams.

‍
 Be organized, accurate, clear, and detailed in your thinking and writing.

‍
 Demonstrate excellent time management and the ability to deliver results at pace.

‍
 This is a fulltime, permanent, onsite role only.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

‍
 Leadership through GLP tox and firstinhuman for a biologic or antiviral.

‍
 CTN experience in Australia and PreIND interactions with the FDA.

‍
