Beverage Filler Operator - PM Shift

This employer is a leading beverage manufacturing company with a focus on delivering exceptional products to customers across New Zealand. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a skilled Filler Operator to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable company and contribute to the production of high-quality beverages.

As a Filler Operator, you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced production environment. Your main responsibilities will include operating and maintaining their Krones filling machines, ensuring the production cycle runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be expected to have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, multitask effectively, and make decisions under pressure. Additionally, your ability to lead and delegate tasks to your team will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete pre-operational checks and set up machines as well as calibrate to ensure we are achieving optimal efficiency throughout the production run.
  • Consistently complete quality inspections on finished products and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns or issues which arise from quality investigations and liaise with engineers to create solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and calculate wastage on each run.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area following the 5S guidelines
  • Oversee and delegate tasks to small team of production assistants working on the line.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience with Krones machines or similar automated filling equipment is ideal.
  • FMCG experience is essential with previous beverage experience highly regarded.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills will be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of food safety protocols and practices
  • A positive and can-do attitude is a must
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25kgs
  • Previous experience leading small teams.

The hours for this role are from 2.00pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday, with some overtime as required. They are offering a competitive hourly rate for this permanent position.
