About

We are proud to be working with our favourite beverages & syrups company to fill the role of Batch Maker in Lower Hutt, Wellington.  Working in this busy and growing environment, you will be part of a small but dynamic team focused on  getting product from NZ to the rest of the world!

This permanent full time role requires a Batch Maker to assist with weighing up, batch making and blending of raw materials as part of the production process. This is a hands on role and requires staff to be physically fit, to consistently lift up to 25Kgs as well as have excellent literacy skills and great attention to detail as required to complete accurate documentation and records.  


Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, Flexibility required - 12-2pm start to 8-10pm finish - Must be able to work Sundays and public holidays.

Remuneration: This role is paying a market competitive hourly wage up to $30 per hour, dependent on your batch making production experience.


Responsibilities include:

  • Working in a sterile environment wearing PPE to assist in the ingredient picking and batch processing and maintenance activities.
  • Weighing up of product and blending as per the production schedule.
  • Prepare and collate related documentation and complete preliminary checks on product.
  • Set up and clean down of manufacturing environment with basic food safety experience.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Previous production experience, ideally in a GMP or food manufacturing environment in a similar role
  • A clean full drivers license and OSH endorsed Forklift License (preferred)
  • Good physical ability
  • Strong communication skills and be a good team player
  • A good understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
  • A good team attitude and be hardworking, trustworthy and reliable

It’s all about work ethic and productivity here, so if you have a food production background and are physically fit, my client is more than happy to train you in other facets of the role.
