About The Role
We're looking for Audit Directors or Associate Audit Directors to join our teams in Wellington and Hamilton.
Audit Directors and Associates are responsible for a portfolio of audits which may include for-profit and public benefit entities operating in central government and/or local government. They're delegated full responsibility to sign audit reports on behalf of the Auditor-General, in accordance with the requirements of the Public Audit Act 2001.
Audit Directors and Associates also have an important leadership role, ensuring that their audit colleagues develop personally and professionally, and that Audit New Zealand operates effectively and efficiently.
About You
With a particular focus on audit quality, audit and team leadership, and client relationship management, you'll need excellent technical skills and knowledge as well as excellent people and communication skills. It's essential that you're a Chartered Accountant (or have an equivalent overseas professional qualification recognised by the Auditor-General).
If you're an experienced Audit Director/Partner or Audit Manager looking for a new set of challenges, or are keen to come back into an audit leadership role, this is a great opportunity to work in a professional and employee-focused organisation. We welcome applications from people who wish to work full-time or part-time.
As an organisation people matter to us, our independence is critical, we act with integrity, and we're here to make a difference. We welcome overseas applications from qualified auditors.
Applications close Sunday 12 February 2023.
