• Managing the void process for contractor and DLO works; ensuring vacant properties are let to a high standard, agreed timescale and within budget.
• Carrying out capital works surveys of all potential purchases of domestic stock, providing accurate guidance and costing based upon in-house and contractor schedules of rates.
• Specifying accurate descriptions for a broad range of works to contractors, DLO operatives and customers facing rechargeable repairs.
• Supervision of a small team of surveyors, including work allocation; providing motivation, training and technical advice as required.
• Handling complaints, customer expectations and repairs snags appropriately.
• Diagnosing and managing a broad range of repairs and building maintenance issues.

Property Assessor

• Day-to-day repairs surveyor, diagnosing a variety of repairs issues, recommending the correct course of action and overseeing in-house and external contractor remedial works.
• Assessing damp and condensation in domestic dwellings and providing training and advice to various staff and board members.
• Report writing and presentation.
• Overseeing the design and planned maintenance of mechanical ventilation systems.
• Diagnosing and managing a broad range of repairs and building maintenance issues.
• Domestic energy assessor (EPC) and retrofit assessor qualified.

Housing Stock Surveyor

• Managing a programme of stock and pre-termination surveys.
• Managing poor property conditions, working with occupants and the local authority to reduce the impact on the voids budget,
• Assisting with tenancy action where necessary, ensuring good stock condition is maintained, including reports and statements.
• Managing property tenancy end condition to ensure properties are returned in an acceptable condition.
• Estimating repair costs using a schedule of rates, an in-house price list and contractor quotes.
