Packaging Materials Executive

Roles and Responsibilities

Packaging Development: Proactively drives packaging technology-related activities for business units by conceptualising, developing, and implementing packaging projects from identification to delivery in alignment with consumer needs, the business strategy, and the operational setup. This ensures the delivery of solutions on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

Food Safety Quality & Compliance: Ensures full compliance with company policies and standards, as well as national and international regulations regarding packaging materials and operations. Validates and documents Declarations of Compliance (DoC) for food contact packaging. Collaborates with NQAC, PTC/R&D, and factory teams on the implementation of packaging projects.

Packaging Competency: Maintains regular contact with Packaging Expert Networks and suppliers to enhance and develop technical competence, seeking ways to improve packaging solutions from both consumer and customer perspectives, as well as for operational setup. Develops and coaches factory staff and shares the latest technological developments. Drives the implementation of technical packaging initiatives within the relevant area of expertise, encompassing methodology, training, assessment, coaching, and other areas within the scope of responsibility.

Vendor Development: Leads improvement projects with relevant suppliers, including the qualification of packaging materials in collaboration with the factory. Actively participates in supplier audits and drives quality improvements in packaging through defect elimination projects, working closely with both the factory and packaging material supplier.

Packaging Cost Competitiveness: Supports operations in waste reduction, problem-solving, and efficiency improvement. Conducts value analysis, leads DMAIC projects, and participates in cost-reduction hunting exercises. Collaborates with Procurement and SupplyChain for cost improvement initiatives. Enhances overall packaging efficiency in filling, packing, and material usage.

Customer and Consumer Packaging Complaints: Reviews DC, trade, and consumer complaints in area of responsibility, and supports the factory and supply chain QA in technical analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Quality Assurance Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

Common for all the roles as a Quality Assurance Analyst: Performed daily GLP checks at the beginning of each operating day, promptly addressing any deviations. Followed company safety practices and adhered to Laboratory Instructions and the QA Safety Manual's safety precautions. Prepared NQD reports for finished goods samples, ensuring accuracy for Quality KPI reporting. Also played a role in new hire training, led safety, GLP, and 5S activities, and coordinated section preparations and communication for internal audits. In the section head's absence, I verified results before SAP recording, conducted equipment calibration checks, and performed new method verifications as described in LI, facilitating the transition for implementation. Participates in internal and external audit and supports the improvements needed.
