Engineering Inspector Lead
Manage and issue permits for Right of Way excavation and grading permits.
Coordinate and oversee third party inspection groups.
Working with Developers, Contractors, Residents, Improvement district and other municipalities to ensure projects meet a range of goals and are done in a timely manner and within budget.
Collaborate with development and regulating agencies to come up with solutions for complex infrastructure issues that will satisfy all parties involved.

Under direction from the County Engineer, the Lead Construction Inspector oversees and ensures the quality, compliance, and timely completion of construction projects. This role involves conducting site inspections, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. The inspector will also lead a team of inspectors and collaborate with various departments and consultants to ensure project specifications and safety standards are met.
Conducts thorough on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and county/state/federal codes. Ensures construction activities comply with safety and environmental guidelines and regulations. Inspects construction materials, workmanship, and construction methods to ensure quality standards are met. Monitors and documents construction progress.
Coordinates between contractors, developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure correctness of plans and construction activities. Acts as a liaison between developers/contractors and county staff to help clarify and resolve issues.
Able to lead, supervise, and mentor a team of inspectors, providing guidance, training, and technical assistance. Helps coordinate inspection schedules and assignments of inspectors. Assigns inspection tasks, monitors team workloads, and review inspection reports from team members.
Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.
Maintains accurate and detailed inspection reports, inspection findings, and any non-compliance issues.
Helps oversee storm water management and inspections.
