The Position

Based in Auckland NZ, they are seeking an experienced technician with proven experience in industrial hydraulics to join the group.


  • Serve existing accounts by analysing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests and resolving problems. Prepare and plan all service works.
  • Provide service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, recommending system improvements and maintaining customer confidentiality.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records. Inform Service Manager when the job is ready to be invoiced.
  • Explore sales possibilities with customers utilizing your scope of specialty and collaborating with cross departmental specialists.
  • Investigate complaints regarding installed equipment. Working with engineering, sales and/or other units to resolve these complaints until the customer is satisfied.
  • Prepare and follow up service quotations with the customer. Ensure a job is opened in SAP once a purchase order number is received.
  • Notify the Service Manager of any equipment that has been brought back to the workshop for strip and assessment, overhaul etc.
  • Accurate completion of service documentation including having service reports signed by the customer or the customers authorised representative.



  • Mechanical Trade certificate
  • Able to demonstrate a high-level technical knowledge of major hydraulic components
  • Previous experience in hydraulic component repair
  • Able to work unsupervised, committed, and Reliable
  • High focus on Quality and attention to detail
  • Conversant in Microsoft office applications
  • Effective communication skills
  • Long-term aspirations
